PRO Physical Therapy was founded by physical therapists David Nissenbaum and Jeff Schleusner. Our goal is to help patients by using an integrated sports medicine model to enhance function and performance. We use physical therapy, biomechanical assessment, fitness, and performance enhancement training so that we can provide an environment suitable for all ages and activity levels.
Owner, Physical Therapist
David uses a dynamic and functional approach to treatment. David treats in a very posture specific and dynamic manner. His focus in on neuromuscular control and focuses on interaction between body parts. David has noted background in biomechanical and functional assessment and treatment and looks for the “cause” of the problem. David is known for using “cutting edge treatment” in his rehabilitation strategies. David’s expertise is in evaluation and treatment of soft tissue injuries and dysfunction. David’s professional interests include sports medicine, manual therapy, posture, golf related injuries, dance related injuries, prevention of injuries and functional rehabilitation.
Owner, Physical Therapist
Jeff’s substantial experience coaching strength and conditioning at the high school and college levels contributes to his Return-to-Sport success with patients. His "OnBaseU" and "Driveline" certifications make him a go-to baseball and softball resource for the entire Midwest. He believes that rehab and performance attributes must be objectively measured in order to assess progression. He complements manual therapy with movement training that restores and improves the function of his patients.
Physical Therapist
Jaime capitalizes on the body’s own healing processes for maximum efficiency and lasting outcomes. She is committed to listening, setting goals collaboratively, and offering an individualized treatment approach. She will guide you to freedom of movement, optimized functional capacity, and better quality of life. Jaime’s niche is in evaluating and treating craniofacial pain. This includes temporomandibular pain and headaches, as well as vertigo/dizziness and concussion. Treatment may involve hands on manual therapy, neuromuscular control, activity modification, and modalities. These can be done with techniques such as laser, vibration, electrical stimulation, dry needling, and nasal release technique (NRT).
Physical Therapist
Elizabeth actively listens to her patients and works with them to develop a plan of care to meet their goals. She uses a multi system and movement-based screening approach to find the source/cause of a patient’s problem. She focuses on hands on manual treatments, modalities in combination with exercises to achieve goals.

Ryan Schmitt earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Clarke University in 2021. He also earned his Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Winona State University in 2018. Ryan worked as an Athletic Trainer for Clarke University while completing his Physical Therapy program. Ryan is a Licensed Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer in the State of Wisconsin.
Physical Therapist
Sam Dawes earned her DPT May 2022 from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She is also a graduate from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2019 with a bachelors in Kinesiology: Exercise and Movement Science with a certificate in Education and Educational Services. In 2019, Sam also became a certified personal trainer.
Physical Therapist
Andrew strives to provide meaningful and quality care to each patient, recognizing the inherent dignity and value every person has. Andrew uses a combination of hands-on techniques and functional, rehabilitative exercise to accomplish patient-specific goals. Andrew recognizes the importance of working alongside patients to provide the tools needed for long-term solutions. His professional interests include balance training and falls prevention, return to sport, and injury prevention. Andrew also enjoys coaching football and weight training at the high school level.
Physical Therapist
Kristine believes in individualized treatment plans for her patients to assist in restoring functionality, improving mobility , and decreasing pain in order to achieve patient goals. She uses a variety of tools to achieve patient outcomes including hands on approach with manual therapy, modalities, education and functional based exercises.

Robert specializes in providing orthopedic outpatient physical therapy to a diverse patient population including geriatrics, post-operative, overhead athletes, and endurance runners. He also works with clients in regard to pain management, vestibular disorders, and those with generalized deconditioning. His passion is to empower and educate individuals of all ages about the human body and their injuries. He strives to provide an accessible route for early intervention, prevention, and recovery from pain and dysfunction. His areas of focus include functional training, manual therapy, holistic healing, orthopedics, and sports and surgical rehabilitation.
Our goal is simple. We strive to reduce your pain and restore your function as quickly as possible. But that’s just the start. Your quality of life matters to us. Our holistic approach guides you to reach your optimum physical function, and in the process improve your overall wellness. This includes empowering you to maintain wellness with our focus on prevention. We will deliver care in a way that will make you feel as if you were a member of our family.
