He went to work in the financial derivatives trading industry shortly after graduation. He earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1998. Jeff left the field of trading and money management, and began working toward a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011. In 2018, he became a Certified Speed and Agility Coach.

Jeff’s substantial experience coaching strength and conditioning at the high school and college levels contributes to his Return-to-Sport success with patients. His OnBaseU and Driveline certifications make him a go-to baseball and softball resource for the entire Midwest. He believes that rehab and performance attributes must be objectively measured in order to assess progression. He complements manual therapy with movement training that restores and improves the function of his patients.

Jeff has been a volunteer strength and conditioning coach at Middleton High School for five years. He has used his knowledge of biomechanics and exercise physiology to coach both functional movement and traditional resistance training. He has been an Olympic and power lifter for 30 years. Because of this, he can combine his weight training experience with a dynamic, multi-planar, functional approach to injury prevention and performance improvement. Jeff is also an expert in the biomechanics of rotational overhead sports such as baseball, softball, and volleyball. Jeff has spent time the last three years working as a voluntary strength and conditioning assistant with the Badger men’s basketball team. He has learned and helped implement the science of performance improvement and athletic recovery at the highest level.

Jeff is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Sports and Pediatrics sections.

Jeff lives in Middleton with his wife, two daughters, and son.  He enjoys lifting weights, sprinting, road-biking, fishing, and other outdoor activities. In his spare time he coaches youth softball, baseball, basketball, and strength & conditioning at the high school and college levels.
